Siesta Key separates itself from mainland Sarasota by two bridges; on the north spanning a portion of Greater Sarasota Bay, and midway, the Intercostal Waterway. Folks living on the Key often claim to have found paradise; whether on the Gulf side, on or near the beaches; or on the Bay side with its canals and waterways. Many are artisans whose works are found in numerous shops in the Village (its busy hub).
